Lucasfilm has FINALLY debuted their teaser for the  much anticipated animated series Star Wars Rebels.

The series is set between the events ofEpisode III andIV, which spans almost two decades. It takes place in a time where the Empire is securing its grip on the galaxy and hunting down the last of the Jedi Knights as a fledgling rebellion against the Empire is taking shape.

Star Wars Rebels will be produced by Lucasfilm Animation, featuring many of the key talents that made Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It is scheduled to premiere in fall 2014 as a one-hour special telecast on Disney Channel, and will be followed by a series on Disney XD channels around the world.

Round of Applause to the Marketing Genius Behind Carrie Coffee Shop Prank

The patrons at Manhattan coffee shop “Snice” got more than they bargained for in the above video, which appears to show a woman with telekinetic abilities totally freaking the heck out and wreaking havoc in the shop.

Of course, it was all staged by the folks behind the remake of classic horror film, “Carrie,” which is set to hit theaters on Oct. 18.

Wire rigging, a false wall, a talented stuntman and some convincing actors created a throughly terrifying scene, which — from the looks of customers’ faces — was extremely successful.

Sandra Oh is leaving Grey’s Anatomy! I can’t breathe! Meredith is losing her person. How does one recover from that? Why Lawd? Why?

The tenth season of “Grey’s Anatomy” will be Oh’s last.

Oh, who has played Dr. Cristina Yang on “Grey’s Anatomy” since the series began in 2003, said she began thinking about her departure when she signed a new deal after Season 8.

"I’ve gone through a lot of therapy over this. I started thinking about it because I had to prepare myself. I gave myself two years to emotionally let go. At the end of last season, [‘Grey’s creator] Shonda [Rhimes] took me aside and said, ‘What are your thoughts?’ I said, ‘I’m ready.’"

In an official statement, Oh said, “It’s been a great privilege to play the character of Cristina Yang on ‘GA’ and I am both sad and excited to see where this, her final season will take her. It was an emotional and deeply creative decision for me and I feel fully supported by Shonda and the writers. It’s so rare in an actor’s life to be able to explore and grow a character so fully, so completely. I am profoundly grateful to everyone at ‘GA’ for the opportunity. I’m excited to celebrate and cherish every moment of my final season on ‘GA’ with the fans who have made it all possible.”

The contracts for series stars Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey are also up at the end of Season 10. But that doesn’t mean it’s the end of the line for “Grey’s.” “It’s our intention to have ‘Grey’s’ on the air for many years to come, with as many of the original cast as possible,” an ABC spokesperson said in a statement, echoing ABC president Paul Lee’s statement at the Television Critics Association Summer 2013 press tour earlier this month. In a statement, Rhimes said Oh’s final year is “bittersweet.” “One of the best days of my life as a writer happened the day Sandra Oh walked in my door to audition and forever changed the course of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ with her brilliant, nuanced portrayal of Cristina Yang,” she said. “Over the past ten seasons, I have been made better by Sandra’s trust, faith and friendship and I can’t quantify how grateful I am for her collaboration on a character we both love so deeply. This year is going to be bittersweet for us — we’re both going to savor every moment of Cristina Yang and then we’re going to give her the exit she deserves. And when Sandra walks out of my door, ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ will be once again be forever changed.”

As for how “Grey’s Anatomy” will handle Cristina’s exit, Rhimes admitted she knows how the character’s story will end, but stay tight-lipped, noting the storyline won’t come up until the end of Season 10. “The minute Sandra and I started talking about this, we have a story that we want to tell and we want to tell it really well, and that story isn’t about her leaving the show as much as it is Cristina Yang’s growth as a person and as a surgeon; Cristina Yang is not going to magically decide she wants babies, no.”

Kevin McKidd, who plays Cristina’s on-again-off-again love interest on “Grey’s,” wasn’t shocked by the news of Oh’s departure. “I was aware of where she’s at but was wishing and hoping that despite all that she might stick around so I might get to still act with her,” he said. “It wasn’t a surprise, but I was still sad when she told me.”

McKidd added he wants to continue working on “Grey’s,” despite his sadness over Oh’s exit. “I’ve done half as much time on the show as Sandra. I still feel there’s stuff to open up and explore about Owen and to explore — when the time comes — the obvious grief he will be going through. In a way, I’m sad for Owen that he’s got such a big bombshell coming for himself; the love of his life — and I truly believe Cristina and Owen are the loves of each other’s lives — they’re going to be broken apart.”

Though McKidd admitted that he doesn’t know how Cristina’s story will end on “Grey’s” or whether or not she and Owen will be together, he noted that if it were up to him, “I would definitely not like for her to die.”

"Grey’s Anatomy" Season 10 premieres Thursday, Sept. 26 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.

My bestie and I went to Joe’s Crab Shack Harlem located on 125th at FDB/8th avenue, which opened on July 30th. Anyhoo, we were both really and LOVE seafood so we were looking forward to it.

Well…we get there at 4:30pm and we have to wait an hour for food, so we walk around the block and at 5:33pm they send us a text stating that our table is ready. So we go inside and the place is decent enough. Well lit, no critters, the staff looked decent. Honestly they looked like babies. Literally they ALL looked no more than 15-17 years old. So our waitress Imoni gives us our menus and sits us at our table, then disappears. He decides on the Ragin’ Cajun’ Steam Pot which consist of two crabs, two potatoes, an ear of corn, two sausages and some shrimp; it’s basically a crab boil.

I’ve been eating shrimp for past two weeks but the craw-fish Steam Pot looks rather tasty however, it comes with shrimp. I wonder whether or not I can order the Ragin’ Cajun’ Steam Pot but swap the shrimp out and replace it with the crawfish, the waitress however doesn’t know if this can be done. Jermaine also wonders if he can get non-alcoholic drinks. The waitress doesn’t know the answer either, which means we had to flag down the manager in order to figure this out. After waiting several minutes for a manager to appear, I learn that I can’t swap anything and they only offer two non-alcoholic beverages. However, every damn restaurant I have ever been to offers a non-alcoholic version of all their drink menu. The manager also takes several minutes to figure out the number next to the food on the menu is not prices but the amount of calories that dish contains.

Anyhoo, after waiting another good 15 minutes the waitress reappears and we order: two orders of the Ragin’ Cajun’, two Sprites, a Strawberry Smoothie and the calamari appetizer; which comes to a total of $77.56, which is rather ridiculous for the small amount of food you’re getting.

So, the waitress goes off with our order. Meanwhile, we’re admiring the decor, which is really cute. The salt and pepper are encased in Corona bottles, your forks and knives are served a tin bucket (they don’t give you spoons unless you request it); it really feel like you’re on the beach. I like it. What I also liked was that the waiters and waitresses dance to several songs that is played over the speakers which have too much bass in it so you can’t really hear the song lyrics. However, it should be noted that the staff was under-trained and had a tendency to break and drop plates left and right. We were watching one accident after another.

Anyways, while the dancing is lovely, the waiting is not and we start to get hangry (the combination of hungry and angry). It’s been over 30 minutes and aside from our Sprites (which was served to me in a chip glass) we haven’t received our appetizer yet. After having to flag down our 16- year old looking waitress she FINALLY arrived with the calamari. Well…
The calamari was bland and the batter/calamari ratio was terrible; meaning 90% of it was fried batter and other 10% was limp sad looking calamari. It tasted both raw and bland. The salsa dipping sauce tasted like a combination of cold chunky tomato sauce, parsley and old hot sauce that was both tangy and off in its taste. The texture just didn’t make any sense. But it looked pretty.

He said it tasted like a science experiment gone wrong. I think this is false, a science experiment would take effort. This was We Don’t Give A Damn Calamari. The wait time was not worth it. If the calamari was bad, I could only imagine what the actual steam pot would taste like….

There are no words to describe the Ragin’ Cajun’ Steam Pot other then traumatizing. At 7:30pm we’re FINALLY receive our order (the waitress doesn’t bring the Strawberry Smoothie), remember we ordered at 5:30pm and we’re ready to eat and just about tired of seeing the waitstaff dance every 15 minutes.

Visually it was sad. It literally looked like lazy and sloppy people cooked it and gave no fucks about presentation or even taken time to study how to make a crab boil. The two sausages were served whole not cut up, the corn was limp and squishy (overcooked) the shrimp still had their shells on and were just dirty and the crabs just looked…odd. I soon figured out why. The food tasted like it was boiled in plain water with NO flavoring, no seasoning not a single onion, garlic or crab boil seasoning. Hell not even a lemon. After cooking, it was as if the chef dumped as much Old Bay seasoning he could find onto the food to make it appear as if it was well seasoned. There are no words to how disgusting that “food” was. The crabs tasted like it came from a can and microwaved to death. The potatoes tasted both burnt and hard. The sausage which was served whole tasted like salt. The corn was limp and tasteless, the shrimp which you had to peel off its shell tasted gritty and bland. The butter…oh LAWD the butter! It tasted like cooking grease. It didn’t even look right, it looked like the consistency of cooking oil, it was cold and yet thin like water. It tasted off, like if I continued using it, I’m going to regret it in the morning.
We were so pissed we didn’t even finish our meal and bolted from that place as fast as we can. One funny part was that once we asked for the check, the waitresses who broke several glasses gave FINALLY remembered to give him his Strawberry Smoothie. We did tip the waitress after a rather long discussion. She wasn’t trained properly and the food wait time wasn’t her fault. She was really sweet about the whole situation and kept apologizing. Besides whatever money we gave her would probably keep her from dancing on a stripper pole.
Hours later, he ended up having to stay on the toilet and I’m feeling nauseous. So sad…

The Secret Lives of Eli and Peyton Manning

Everyone wondered what Eli and Peyton Manning were doing in New Orleans with DirecTV. Now we know.

The Manning brothers were making gold.

There is a lot to digest in this spot for DirecTV’s “Sunday Ticket.” Fortunately, I’ve watched it for the past two hours and know the song, Peyton’s Flock of Seagulls haircut by heart.

There’s a lot of swagger …

There’s their dad Archie…

There’s this gold football …

Did I mention the Manning brothers are rappers now? Well…the Manning brothers are rappers now.

There’s a portrait of Alexander Graham Bell getting destroyed …

There’s Eli not caring at all …

But most importantly, there are the Manning brothers winning our hearts and minds once again …

Don’t ever change…

Anthony Weiner Unleashes Carlos Danger at Dominican Day Parade and He is Balls of Fun

Mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner stole the show Sunday at New York’s Dominican Day Parade, sprinting and dancing his way up a Manhattan avenue with thousands cheering him on.

It was a spectacle executed in bright red pants, with a bullhorn and a giant Dominican flag.

The embattled Democrat who had resigned his congressional seat over a “sexting” scandal drove the crowd into a frenzy, zig-zagging from one side of the avenue to the other and waving a flag bigger than theirs over their heads.

"Que viva la Republica Dominicana!" the energized 48-year-old yelled into a bullhorn of red-and-white colors that matched his attire.

"Weiner!" spectators yelled back, some grabbing his bullhorn to be heard louder.

The 32nd annual Dominican Day Parade that delivered ear-blasting, thumping music, merengue dancing and the mayoral candidates stretched over 15 blocks of Sixth Avenue from 37th Street to 52nd Street and lasted most of the afternoon.

Weiner first appeared at the tail end of the parade, with other Democratic mayoral candidates preceding him, including front-runner Christine Quinn, Bill Thompson, Bill de Blasio and John Liu.

The politicians are all seeking the city’s significant vote from Hispanic residents, who represent nearly 30 percent of New York’s population.

Quinn was another crowd favorite. Each time the City Council speaker made a bee line for the sidelines, she was smothered in hugs and cheers.

Another sex-scandal embattled politician also showed up. Eliot Spitzer, running for city comptroller, walked with supporters behind a giant banner with his name in large block letters. He also drew cheers, but more muted than Weiner’s or Quinn’s.

If there were any anti-Weiner spectators, they weren’t making their sentiments known to the crowd.

At the end of the parade, the optimistic candidate told reporters who had scurried to keep pace, “I’m worried for you, guys. We’ve got four more years of parades.”

But he himself took a moment to catch his breath two-thirds of the way into the parade. Weiner stood quietly in the middle of the avenue, taking a few deep breaths and eyeing the crowd, his smile gone. Then he quickly resumed his bullhorned declarations.

Leading the march was outgoing Mayor Michael Bloomberg, whose third term is up in January. The primary is Sept. 10. The general election is Nov. 5.

Glee Season 5 Details Revealed

season 5 is in line for a major shakeup in large part to the tragic death of star Cory Monteith, who played one of the show’s main characters Finn. We already know that the show will approach Monteith’s death and/or drug addiction in some way, shape, or form in season 5, but what else does Glee have in store for their “Gleeks?” Singer Adam Lambert will actually be making an appearance in Glee’s next season, but up until now, what role he was going to play has been unknown.

One of the stars of Glee, Chris Colfer, was on LIVE With Kelly and Michael and he revealed at least a little bit of what fans can expect from Lambert’s character.

"Adam Lambert is joining the show, and he’s going to play my nemesis," Colfer revealed. "I always wanted to see Kurt be mean. I know no one else does, but it’ll be fun for me."

As for Monteith’s character Finn, he will be written off the show on episode 3. FOX Entertainment Chairman Kevin Reilly told E! Online that the show will deal with Cory’s passing on the show. “The third episode will write Finn out of the show,” Reilly said. “That episode will deal directly with the incidents involved with Cory’s passing and the drug abuse in particular.”

It also looks like fans will be seeing a lot more of the Warblers in the season 5 Beatles tribute premiere. Wetpaint reports that there is a rumor going around on Tumblr that Blaine and the Warblers will be performing the Beatles’ “All You Need is Love.”

Lea Michele’s Heartbreaking Teen Choice Award Dedication to Cory Monteith

As expected, the cast of Glee was on hand in full force at Sunday night’s live broadcast of the 2013 Teen Choice Awards on the FOX network. The appearance marked the first time the actors were seen together in public since the tragic death of their co-star Cory Monteith, who died on July 13th as a result of an accidental drug overdose.

First, the cast of Glee was awarded the Choice TV Comedy Award, which featured the cast appearing, sans Lea Michele, where Kevin McHale accepted the award, followed by Amber Riley and Jenna Ushkowitz speeking and thanking fans for their support. Riley noted that “We are very fortunate to come back to a show we love and Cory was like a brother to us and a Dad and was always ready to take a picture or sign an autograph for fans. He loved his Gleeks.”

Then Ushkowitz spoke, noting “We know that Cory wanted to dedicate this award to you guys. Our condolences to all of you as well.”

Next, Lea Michele was presented with the award for Best TV Actress in a Comedy.

She accepted the award and through tears said,

"Thank you guys. Thank you. I just wanted to be here today to personally thank all of you and to tell everyone out there how much your love and support has meant to me over these past difficult few weeks. Thank you. Not that I had any doubt before, but you guys are most certainly the greatest fans in the world and I wanted to dedicate this award to Cory. For all of you out there who loved and admired Cory as much as I did, I wanted to promise that with your love, we’re going to get through this together. He was very special to me and also to the world and we were very lucky to witness his incredible talent, his handsome smile and his beautiful, beautiful heart. So, whether you knew him personally or just as Finn Hudson. He reached out and became a part of all of our hearts and that’s where he’s stay forever. Thank you guys so much."

As for Monteith’s character Finn, he will be written off the show on episode 3. FOX Entertainment Chairman Kevin Reilly revealed the show will deal with Cory’s passing on the show. “The third episode will write Finn out of the show,” Reilly said. “That episode will deal directly with the incidents involved with Cory’s passing and the drug abuse in particular.”
